Frustrated by the performance of apparel for backcountry ski-touring, Hivernal was born to satisfy a need. Brands which had once started out as technically-focused and 100% committed to the requirements of the user, appear to have left their core base behind, and evolved in a fashion-led direction.
Hivernal (French for Wintery), sets out to provide apparel which is tested and influenced by users, doing more than just walking their dogs in an urban rainstorm. The brutally honest tone of voice, candid and authentic photography style, it presents a warts-and-all reality of the activities its audience relishes.
